The Sony HXR-NX100 NXCAM Professional Camcorder combines portability with high-quality performance, versatility, and ease of use. A single Exmor R sensor with Full HD 1920×1080 resolution, a Sony G lens with a 12x optical zoom capability, and a 24x Clear Image Zoom are all included in the camcorder.
The integrated zoom lens has separate focus, iris, and zoom lens control rings. The lens may be used either fully automatically with servo control or entirely manually. Up to six photo profiles may be stored on the camera, and you can exchange them with other NX100 camcorders. For capturing HD video at different frame rates, the camera also supports Sony’s Slow and Quick Motion.
The camcorder can record in a number of formats, frame rates, and codecs, including DV for SD video, AVCHD 2.0 up to 59.94p, and the XAVC S codec for Full HD video at up to 59.94p. Two SD memory card slots are used to record your video to the desired medium. Alternatively, you may utilize the relay mode, which automatically switches recording to the second memory card when the first one is full, or you can record concurrently to both cards.
Two different record buttons can be used to individually operate the two card slots. Line, mic, and mic + 48 V (phantom power) are supported via two 3-pin XLR audio inputs when utilizing professional microphones. The date/time stamp feature and IR capability are also included on the camera, which allows for photography in very low light.
